I was able to play for about 15 minutes and it looks like I get about 15 fps bump to 75fps, still with Ultra and DLSS Performance. So to answer my original question - Based on what I remember of the engine.ini file immediately after the patch, looks like the changes to that file are amended into the existing file, which is why the old hotfix is still in there. will report back later if I can try againĮdit2: deleted the engine.ini file that still had the old hotfix, and re-verified the game files. Will try to delete engine.ini and re-verify the game files from within steam. Because I had everything capped at 60fps, I think the performance degraded a bit because I was seeing more drops to 50-55fps while walking around hogwarts.
#Hogwarts legacy release date reddit update#
Running ultra with DLSS PerformanceĮdit1: I played immediately after the update for a little less than an hour. I'm on a AMD 3700X w/ RTX 3080 and I'm capped at 60fps on 1440p if I want everything smooth. Should I delete engine.ini and re-verify game files to see if the update is really improving performance for me? Does anyone know - if you did the engine.ini fix, does the update overwrite the fix? I checked the "new" engine.ini file and it still has all of the commands from that post earlier this week.
